135 Days

There’s 135 days left until I get married!!  There’s a few big things that need to be taken care of still but we’ve gotten quite a bit done, yay!

Things to do:

  1. Talk to florist again/work out details/sign a florist contract
  2. Book an appointment for a cake tasting/pick cake
  3. Go to a tasting/finalize reception food
  4. Decide on groom & groomsmen attire
  5. Schedule a fitting once my dress comes in
  6. Wait anxiously for another invitation proof & sign off on the order

+ some more little stuff.  There’s probably some big stuff not on this list but I’m not worried about anything right now.  It’s all coming together.

happy things

  • There has been some talk of going on a hike this weekend.  Considering I don’t do that much hiking this will probably kick my butt, but it shall be fun!
  • Hiking usually means a picnic lunch.
  • The sunshine is beautiful and the temperature is lovely.
  • Our silverware arrived yesterday and I’m still over the moon about it.
  • The magnolia tree is blooming outside my window.  That tree is the very reason I chose my bedroom.  It makes me smile.
  • The weather is nice so walking outdoors is a must.
  • Perhaps it’s time to bust out the ice-y machine?
  • I have an approximate amount in mind for how many candles and gems I’ll need for our centerpieces which means I can start getting them at any time.  I have one bag of gems.
  • It’s one day closer to the weekend.
  • I had a breakfast sandwich made with leftover breakfast sausage & bacon.  I didn’t have to cook anything but an egg (and of course toast an english muffin).
  • My robe is fluffy.
  • I have about 20 pages left in my book which means I can start a new adventure in reading soon.
  • There has been talks of going to see the Hunger Games with friends.  I will probably, if possible, see it with family beforehand or afterwards…depending on when we can tickets, lol.
  • I just got a text from my future hubby that said “Hey you :)”
  • 90210 & Switched at Birth come on tonight
  • One day closer to our wedding.  208 days, but who’s counting?  oh, that’s right…I am.  GO FASTER TIME!

To my future husband,

I cannot wait to take engagement photos with you.

I cannot wait to walk down the aisle and say I do.

I cannot wait to party with our friends and family as they celebrate our love.

I cannot wait to wave goodbye to everyone at the end of the reception, and know that you and I will be leaving for our honeymoon.  It will be just you and I…and I cannot wait to selfishly have you all to myself.

I cannot wait to have new adventures with you.

I cannot wait to look at homes in person whether they be apartments to rent, or homes to buy.  I already have a home in you, and I cannot wait to build a home with you.  Just us — in our own little place doing things our own little ways.

I cannot wait to crawl into bed with you every single night.

I cannot wait to wake up and make us breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

I cannot wait to hear or say “honey, I’m home!”

I cannot wait to decorate our place and make it our own.

I cannot wait for a lot of things (even the simplest thing like your toothbrush being next to mine in the holder), but I will because good things come to those who wait and you are most definitely worth the wait.  I love you honey.

With love,

Your future wife

Today’s Mission

  • Try on bridesmaid dress at David’s Bridal because my beautiful twin is getting married on June 17, 2012.
  • Finish buying ingredients for bite size pumpkin cheesecakes & bite size peanut butter & chocolate cheesecakes.
  • Try and finish up Thanksgiving shopping so I do not have to go back out again (cross your fingers for me).
  • Try and relax and read more of Kelley Armstrong’s The Summoning

/side note:  I am so excited that my boyfriend is going to be off from work Wednesday-Sunday.  YES!  This is going to kick major butt because last week he was on call and I didn’t really get to talk to him very much since he was so busy.  He had really weird hours and is still recovering from being sleep deprived.  Poor boo!

  • I have breakfast plans, with friends, on Friday morning.
  • The aforementioned breakfast is at Panera (‘nuff said).
  • I’m buying tickets tomorrow for a Wanda Sykes comedy show.
  • I have two classes tomorrow & then it’s the weekend.

Beautiful kitchen things I love from ANTHROPOLOGIE

Perennial Mini Colander in turquoise, coral, or green (pictured above in turquoise).  $12

Farmer’s Market Basket in neutral. $14

Milk Bottle Measuring Cups (pictured twice above).  How cute would this be on a kitchen counter?  It’s like usable art. $24

Farmer’s Egg Crate in sky.  This is so much prettier than a regular old throw-away egg crate from the store.  $14

They are all lovely.

Deathly Hallows Part 2

So, I’m pretty much ready to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 now.  I have completed all Harry Potter movie watching related tasks:

  • Wear awesome Gryffindor Shirt
  • Wear HP jewelry (earrings/wrist cuff/necklace)
  • Watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 1
  • Purchase movie snacks & drinks (screw the theater & their overpriced food)
  • Pack movie snacks & drinks
  • Pick up tickets
  • Hold myself together FAIL

Ah, well I guess 6/7 completed tasks isn’t too bad.

Summer things I love:

  • The feel of sunshine on my body
  • Lemonade tea with fresh cut lemons
  • Or Peach tea [really, any tea as long as it’s real sweet]
  • Tanning
  • Free time
  • Swimming
  • Swimsuits
  • Ocean & sand
  • Reading as much as I want
  • Lazy days indoors trying to beat the heat
  • Kisses on my sun-kissed skin
  • The way white looks on me when I’m tan
  • Freckles - they become more prominent
  • Sunglasses
  • Flip-flops

Ah, the list goes on.  Just spent some time outside listening to Tim McGraw on my iPod and reading Sisterhood Everlasting.  Good day so far.
