Thank Goodness!

I have finally finished writing my paper for History 499.  This paper had to be 20-30 pages in length.  The rough draft, of my paper, as it stands now is 23 pages long.  Just where I figured it would end up being once I started writing.  This has been a painful and downright AWFUL experience.  Nah, okay.  I kid.  Well, no not really.

It was painful.  I had to research my buns off.  I was concerned about not having enough primary sources and I ended up having more primary than secondary.  Ha, sucka!  But, yeah now that’s done I’m happy.  I’m proud of my work.  I feel good about it.  I still have to review the entire paper and have my grandmother look over it as well.  The rough draft is due November 9th so it’s done early.  Phew!  Which is good because I have a 6-8 page paper I need to write.  Sonofa———*dies*

Come on December

I’m not amused that three of my teachers assigned papers that are due the same week.  For serious?  I’ll have a 6-8 page paper, 20 page paper, and a paper that should not exceed 5 pages all due the same week (in November).  x_x  Yep, this kid is ready to be done with college.  Come on December.

This weekend I will be working on creating an annotated bibliography and outline for the 20 page paper (due a week from today).  Gooooood times.

On the bright side, once the outline is done I should easily be able to start the 20 page paper.  I’m nervous about it (big time) but maybe if I pace myself it won’t be complete torture?

It’s almost over…

I received my art history final study guide via email yesterday.  I’m almost free.  It looks like it may be a ripe pain in the butt though.  For the midterm we had to study about 20 paintings and then she chose 10 from that selection that we had to identify.  This time she’s making us study about 40 paintings and then choosing 25, at random, for the final.  Fudge.  That is twice as many note cards to make which means I need to get making them soon.

Instead of answering two essay questions we will have to answer three.  Oh, I can’t wait for my hand to fall off during the final — it’s going to be an utter blast!  Excellent.  Almost done.  Almost done.

Success!

I have successfully bullshitted completed my art history paper!  I just need to read it over for grammatical errors & such.  Ah, glad that’s over with.  I literally had to write about a painting of a window for this paper.  A window.  I was pulling all kinds of shit out of my ass trying to get to five pages.  Mind you, it’s five pages thanks to the picture of the painting at the top.  Hopefully she’ll eat it up.  I have been working on this paper for the past four days.  I had to talk about the meaning of the painting.  I DO NOT KNOW.  It’s a WINDOW.  Never again.  All I have to do is survive the final now, and then I will never have to deal with this craziness again.

Time for a victory dance!

Midterms

Just finished writing my Japanese history midterm.  I’ve been in a headache induced daze all day long so I’m having my lovely Grandma read it over to make sure it makes sense before I revise and submit it.  I cannot wait to click submit and be done with it.  I wish I could say I was excited for the weekend but I’m going to have to make German art and architecture flashcards and study for the ID portion of that test PLUS figure out how to answer the essay questions.  /deep sigh

How many days till my Spring Break?!?
